Electronics Serviceability

The electronic elements are contained in the center zone of the vehicle, on the right and left sides of the cockpit, the instrument cluster, and the steering wheel module.

The Cool City electronics modules consists of the Cool City Body Control Module (CCBCM) and the Cool City Steering Wheel Module (CCSWM). The CCBCM is located in the interior right side electronic compartment.

Cool City fuses are located inside the electronic compartment. In addition to the central fuse center there are five separate in line fuses. Three are located under the hood and are for the radio, XM Satellite receiver, and trunk release switch. Two are located behind the cover on the right rear storage compartment. One is for the optional trailer hitch brakes and the other for the hitch tail lights.

The GM electronics consists of the Body Control Module (BCM) and the Power Train Control Module (PCM). Both are contained behind the left side rear seat.

Diagnostics can be done at any GM center that has the diagnostic scan tool that plugs into a standard Data Link Communication (DLC) port which is located under the right side of the dashboard from the interior. Based on the diagnostics on the engine or body sensors, a GM dealer technician can make service repairs to the powertrain and sensors.

The fuse center for the GM electrical system is located in the Under Hood Junction Box (UHJB) located in the left side rear engine compartment.
